UK: Sun Bed Addiction Leads To More Cancer Cases

The UK population’s addiction to tanning at every opportunity has led to an outbreak of more UK skin cancer cancer cases than Australia, it has been reported. The sun bed industry is being held largely to blame.

Chief Executive of the Skin Cancer Campaign Andrew Langford said: “We were called by witnesses who couldn’t believe their eyes. The sun-bed industry is a disgrace.

“All the evidence is that sunbeds are contributing to the skin cancer epidemic. The only way that  ultra violet light should be used is under close medical supervision to treat particular conditions.”
